3-Year Teaching Associate Professorship in Accounting

We are seeking a teaching associate professor to help teach in accounting at Aalborg University Business School. The position is a 3 year full time position starting on February 1 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Your work tasks
The job entails teaching and supervision within accounting, particularly valuation and financial analysis. It will be an advantage to be able to teach in Danish. You will be expected to work with the Problem-based learning approach which is the pedagogical approach at Aalborg University Business School. You will be expected to be present at least three days a week at the business school to participate in creating a good learning and research environment for students and researchers.

Your competencies
We expect you to have a relevant educational background (cand. oecon, cand. merc, or similar) and extensive knowledge of and experience in teaching and supervision at university level.

Qualification requirements 
The qualification requirement for the position is a master’s degree or qualifications of an equivalent level. The applicant’s teaching qualifications must also be positively assessed.

The Accounting research group is based at Aalborg University Business School and has a strong interest in how firms do accounting, and accounting broadly speaking. The group works with contemporary topics in leadership and a broad array of topics within managerial/financial accounting. Teaching is closely linked to our research activities and to Aalborg University’s long-standing tradition of Problem-Based Learning, which encourages student engagement through project work and real-world analytical challenges.

Salary and terms of employment  
The employment is in accordance with the Ministerial Order on the Appointment of Academic Staff at Universities and the Ministerial Order on Job Structure for Academic Staff at Universities. Furthermore, your terms of employment and salary are in accordance with the collective agreement between the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations and the state (AC collective agreement) and protocol on certain terms of employment of academic staff at universities.
